Valentine’s Day fundraiser for furry friends
Love is in the air and No More Tears Animal Rescue hopes to show some affection to the furry friends in their care at a Valentine's Day fundraiser.
No More Tears Animal Rescue from Greenhills invites the community to join them at their Valentine’s Day fundraiser to be held in Tarlton on Saturday, February 8.
“The No More Tears Animal Rescue team would like to launch more fundraising projects for the animals in our care. They have various needs and necessities that must be purchased monthly as well as kennel fees and monthly vet costs that must be covered,” said Clarisse Kruger, one of the volunteers.
This is their first fundraiser for the year and they hope to get the community more involved with the work they do.
There will be a Valentine’s Day picnic as well as various stalls, a jumping castle, music and a Valentine’s Day photo session. Visitors can also visit a snail farm and meet the rescue dogs from No More Tears. Prizes are also up for grabs.
The picnic baskets available will include a picnic place, Valentine’s Day treats, mugs, a photo session and a picnic blanket that will be donated to the animals in their care after the fundraiser.
The event will start at 10:00 until late and entry is free.
Clarisse explained fundraisers such as this are extremely important to care for the rescued animals and all the proceeds go directly to them. It also creates awareness and gives the community a chance to get involved.
“There are so many animals in need and the more people from the community can get involved, the more animals will be helped and saved,” she added.
Clarisse expressed her hope that the day will be a success and that the community will support this initiative and the animals.
“It’s going to be a day full of fun and everyone is welcome. Come and enjoy the day with the No More Tears Animal Rescue team,” said Clarisse.
