Bike crash leaves man (21) fighting for his life
A 21-year-old man is in critical condition after a motorcycle crash in Mindalore. The family is requesting the community's support for his BackaBuddy.
Jason Jordaan (21) is fighting for his life in hospital after a serious motorbike crash on the corner of Voortrekker Road and Kloof Street in Mindalore on Tuesday, February 4.
Jason’s sister, Swané Price said he is currently in a critical condition in Leratong Hospital. She added the crash occurred at about 07:00 that morning.
“He has a tear in his liver causing internal bleeding, a bruised left lung, severe swelling of the brain and fractures to his jaw, facial bones, pelvic bone and his left arm,” she stated.
She added since he was admitted to the hospital, they had to place him in a medically induced coma.
The family is now asking the community to help with his costly treatment where the funds raised will help cover his immediate medical expenses and ongoing treatments as his condition continues to be closely monitored.
