Like father like son: Jesse Clegg in town
Famous South African singer Jesse Clegg performed at Silverstar recently and inspired residents to take big steps and live out their passion.
One of the biggest names in the South African music industry, Johnny Clegg, has his legacy continued through his son, Jesse, who performed at Silverstar recently.
True local music lovers filled the crowd, with one attendee dancing in front of the stage for nearly the entire show.
Jesse said during his performance it is great to be back in the Jozi area as it is where he grew up. He was on 22-day tour in December and January adding that he enjoyed a West Rand audience.
He performed most of his hit songs, including Let It Burn, which had the audience moving to the front of the stage to dance.
Jesse ended his show by making a joke that if people didn’t know, he is not the only musician in his family and encouraged the community to let their creative passions shine through.
“Take that first step to make it happen,” he said.
