A K9 trainer with the ultimate bite

Retired and experienced Eddie Coetzee about training furry friends for a safer community.

For passionate K9 trainer Eddie Coetzee, training a furry companion is his life.

According to Eddie, protecting one’s home and loved ones will always be a priority. Having domesticated animals by your side, especially a well-trained one, can not only be useful for guarding the home but perhaps even save a life.

Eddie has over 30 years of experience working in law enforcement and has accomplished many milestones during that time. He graduated from the Technikon Police College in 1988, receiving his Diploma in Police Management. He would later work at the Roodepoort Police Station in 1990 and reach a higher rank of Warrant Officer while also working for the police’s dog unit.

It was around 2005 when he decided to retire and fully focus on his passion for training K9s. He would also travel around the world working for various academies in countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan and Nigeria.

”Working in various countries for some years was quite an eye-opener. I got to see the livelihoods of people outside the country and how life is there,” Eddie said.

Eddie trains dogs focusing on attacking, obedience and agility three times a week.
