405 Old School crew bring Easter joy

The 405 old school race crew hosted an Easter run, handing out 1300 sweet packets to children.

In the spirit of Easter and giving back to the community, the 405 Old School Race crew, a group of car enthusiasts on the West Rand with a heart for charity, brought joy to children’s faces with their Easter-themed drive hosted on April 13.

On the day, the crew came and showcased their cool, classic, and modified cars while distributing 1 300 Easter packets filled with sweets. The convoy visited several locations, starting at Industria and going to Plateau Drive Park, Newclare flats, Kretzschmar Street and Claremont Park, spreading smiles wherever they went.

According to event co-ordinator William Heiden, the initiative aimed to give back to the community, and this marked the crew’s third year hosting the event.

We wanted to put smiles on the children’s faces and remind them that they are loved and cared for. As a group, we want to be considerate and be heavily involved in the community,” William said.
