Mindalore CPF Sector 9 member awarded for role in safer West Rand

Lindela Malinga from Mindalore CPF Sector 9 was recognised as the latest recipient of the CCIN West Rand award for his dedicated crime-fighting efforts within the initiative.

The Civilian Crime Intelligence Network (CCIN) West Rand initiative has made significant efforts to fight crime and ensure community safety. Every month, the initiative aims to give credit to law enforcement and residents who play their part in making the community safer.

Lindela Malinga, a member of Mindalore CPF Sector 9, is the latest recipient of the CCIN Certificate of Excellence. After joining the CPF, he expressed his appreciation for the initiative and urged that the fight against crime continue.

“A group of concerned residents, including myself, converged, intending to deliberate on the crime challenge. Last year saw a resurrection of Sector 9 CPF, and myself elected as a lead patroller. I am thankful to my community for entrusting me with such a difference-making task, the group for the support and collaboration and lastly the BCI group for assuring that the little we do towards combating crime is recognised,” Lindela said.

According to the CEO of BCI Security, Johnny Loots, CCIN is made up of various public and private law enforcement agencies whose sole purpose is to work together and bring safety to the community more efficiently. The collaborative initiative has been operational for 12 years.

The objectives and strategies of CCIN West Rand are to share information and resources to combat crime successfully.

By working collaboratively, members can:

• Share intelligence on criminal activities
• Co-ordinate efforts to prevent and investigate crimes
• Enhance response times and effectiveness
• Foster a safer community through collective efforts
