Two injured, one critically, in Viljoen Street motorcycle crash

Paramedics and tow truck services responded to a crash in Viljoen Street this morning in which a motorcyclist was critically injured and his passenger also hospitalised.

A car and a motorcycle collided on Viljoen Street at about 06:10 this morning, October 30, leaving two people injured.

“A man riding a motorcycle was critically injured and his passenger sustained moderate injuries,” said tow truck driver Paul Viljoen.

He added that the motorcyclist was meant to be airlifted, but due to delays, emergency services transported him to a nearby private hospital instead. The passenger was also taken to hospital, while the car’s driver sustained only minor injuries.
