Tower of Life shelter boosted by generous donations

The men’s shelter received a heartwarming boost when a law firm donated much-needed items, from bathroom renovations to mattresses and a new fridge.

The Tower of Life men’s shelter in Krugersdorp CBD recently received donations that have made a significant impact.

According to the manager of the shelter, Janet Jordan, a law firm contacted them earlier this year and asked what the shelter needed. The shelter had numerous requirements to support their operations, and to their surprise, the firm made a substantial donation on October 16.

They donated the following items and services:

• Renovation of the bathrooms
• 10 mattresses
• Two water tankers
• Clothing and cleaning products
• Washing lines
• Cement basins
• A new fridge

“This donation made a huge difference,” Janet said.

“The bathrooms were overdue for renovation, and the washing lines are now in a secure location for the men to wash their clothes. We are always thankful for donations. It is really caring for a group to ask what we need and then provide it. This is a huge gift before Christmas,” she said.

The Tower of Life always accepts donations such as food and cleaning products. Those wishing to donate can contact Janet on 079 264 4262.
