Lights, camera… gunfire! Residents reassured during filming in Krugersdorp

Gunshots in Krugersdorp CBD? Don’t worry, as it’s just a movie scene being filmed.

Councillor Mark Trump has asked residents not to be alarmed if they hear gunshots in the Krugersdorp CBD on Wednesday evening, November 12.

A production company will be filming a scene in Commissioner Street and at the corner of Market Street, using blanks as part of the shoot, Trump confirmed.

Trump further explained that the gunfire was initially planned to be added in post-production, but filming requirements have since changed.

He said the production had already filmed a scene yesterday, November 11, from 17:00 to 22:00, and will continue today, from 18:00 to midnight.

He assured residents that the production company has met all legal requirements and holds the necessary permits issued by the municipality.

“We also conducted a site visit with the police, and everything was in order.”
