Search efforts continue for missing Krugersdorp teen in Mozambique

Search and rescue teams have expanded operations in the ongoing search for missing teenager Rikus Kylander.

Search and rescue teams have intensified efforts to locate Rikus Kylander, who went missing following a snorkelling trip in Mozambique.

On December 23, Renegades Search and Rescue spokesperson Dawn Gounden said teams continue to search extensively across Ponta do Ouro and surrounding areas, including sections near the South African border.

“An aerial search was conducted across multiple areas, with operations now extending to Santa Maria. In addition, boats are searching throughout the day, conducting zigzag sweeps from Kosi Bay to Dobela,” she said.

Gounden added that joint search operations have been planned and are currently under way.
