Have you seen Peanut the missing parrot?

A resident is willing to give a R2 000 reward if found.

A family is appealing to the community to help find their beloved pet parrot that has been missing since New Year’s Day.

According to Antonette Delport, owner of the beloved bird named Peanut, he went missing while in the care of a pet sitter who had a family emergency and moved between Discovery, Weltevreden Park, Wilropark and Krugersdorp.

Peanut escaped from a travel cage near Mouton on Ontdekkers Road, but the family believes Peanut could be anywhere.

”I am not accusing anyone, I am just desperate and heartbroken. Peanut could be anywhere or with anyone. We have searched for days with no sign of him. I am begging everyone in the surrounding areas, we plead to help us look,” Antonette said.

Peanut is a two-year old Ringneck parrot with a dark ring around his neck. A R2 000 reward will be given to anyone who successfully identifies the bird and returns it to the family safely. If you have any information that could be helpful, contact Antonette on 082 855 25 74.
