Licensing department to close early for memorial service of staff member

Mogale City Local Municipality announces temporary changes to licensing services on January 22 and 24 due to staff attending a memorial and funeral.

The licensing department will close early today, January 22, at noon so staff can attend the memorial service for a co-worker.

Refilwe Mahlangu, assistant manager for media and PR at Mogale City Local Municipality, said that residents with bookings for learner licenses will still be assisted after noon.

She added that the centre will also be closed on January 24 as well, due to staff attending the funeral. Learner license applicants will be assisted from 08:30 that day.

“All driving license tests will be rescheduled, and affected applicants will be notified. Driving license renewal applicants may be assisted within 14 days of their original booking date. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank the public for their understanding,” Mahlangu said.
