Family still searching for missing Kenmare man months after disappearance

The Fourie family is appealing to the West Rand community at large to help locate missing Kenmare resident Ferdinand Fourie.

More than five months after Kenmare resident Ferdinand Fourie vanished, his family is still searching for answers and urgently appealing to the community for help.

The 50-year-old was last seen on September 19, driving home from work in Dobsonville and never arrived.

According to his wife, Mariette Fourie, he was allegedly kidnapped. She says he is particularly vulnerable as he is diabetic and requires medication.

A kidnapping case was opened with the police, but the family says there has been no breakthrough.

At the time of his disappearance, Ferdinand was wearing blue jeans, a black T-shirt and a green jersey. He is medium-built, with blond hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the Roodepoort police or his sister-in-law, Annelise, on 083 461 0168.
