Temporary closure of Public Safety building shifts services across town

The Public Safety building is closed for renovations, with key services now available at the Town Hall and temporary offices on Jeppe Street.

The Mogale City Local Municipality’s (MCLM) Public Safety building has been temporarily closed until further notice due to ongoing renovations.

According to the MCLM assistant manager for media and public relations, Refilwe Mahlangu, essential services have been relocated to the Town Hall.

These include:

• payment of fines
• traffic fine enquiries
• access to accident reports

She added that additional temporary service points have been set up in containers on Jeppe Street. These will assist with:

• by-law enquiries and enforcement matters
• event applications
• street closure applications
• parking permits for people with disabilities
• escort requests, such as for funerals
• rezoning applications
