Five vehicles burn in Krugersdorp CBD fire, no lives lost

Emergency services contained a CBD building fire early in the morning after several vehicles were destroyed, with no injuries reported.

Emergency services responded to a building fire in the Krugersdorp CBD in the early hours of this morning, April 20.

Mogale Fire and Rescue, led by acting regional commander Piet Legodi, received the call at about 07:22 and arrived to find an unoccupied premises engulfed in flames, with five vehicles burning inside.

Firefighters, including personnel from Mogale Fire Station 38, reservists and the traffic department, worked to contain the blaze. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and crews encountered no significant challenges.

The fire was extinguished, and the scene was cleared at about 08:40.
