Gold and platinum at Eisteddfod for Gr8 minds

Youngsters from the Gr8 Minds Tutor Centre in Monument bagged gold and platinum awards for their performance at this year's RACA Eisteddfod.

Seven learners from the Gr8 Minds Tutor Centre in Monument recently competed and excelled at the RACA Eisteddfod 2022.

Armelle Cooney, a Grade R learner competed in the vocal solo (with backing track gospel) category and was awarded diamond.

Three Grade 1 learners competed in the undramatised poetry in Afrikaans speech and drama category. Xante Jansen van Vuuren, Carika Brummer and Jaylee Burger all were awarded gold.

Grade 2 learner at the centre, Gift Kamanga did dramatised poetry in English and was awarded platinum for his performance.

The two Grade 3 learners Mieke Jansen van Vuuren and Nqubeko Ndlovu both competed in the dramatised poetry category where Mieke was awarded gold for her Afrikaans poem and Nqubeko was awarded gold for his English poem.

Anné Jansen van Vuuren, a Grade 7 learner also competed in the undramatised poetry category in Afrikaans and was awarded a platinum.
