No first-day jitters at Curro Primary
Curro Krugersdorp Primary School Gr 1s begin their school journey.

The Krugersdorp News visited Curro Krugersdorp Primary School on January 14 as many Grade One learners began their school journey.
Both parents and learners, proudly dressed in their full school uniforms, were joyful and eager on the day.

Although parents could walk to class with their children, they had to say goodbye so that learning could commence quickly, but that did not seem to bother the learners, who were ready for whatever Grade One had to throw at them.

One parent, Happiness Lungephi, expressed how calm and excited her son was for school.
“From the minute I left him in class I already saw him talking and making friends with his peers, usually they have separation anxiety but I’m happy for him.”

The youngsters also had the opportunity to meet their teachers and adjust quickly to what they would call their home away from home for the next few years.
