Curro High fosters camaraderie, athletic excellence
Curro Krugersdorp High School recently held its highly anticipated interhouse athletics event bringing together learners, staff and parents for a day of competition, teamwork and school spirit.
Curro Krugersdorp High School hosted a thrilling interhouse athletics event where learners showcased their skills and talent.
According to Curro’s head of marketing, Amoryn Wright, the event commenced with an opening address then followed by the house procession where the school houses and teams namely Ignus, Ventus, Aqua and Terra proudly took to the field.
She said the atmosphere was electric as learners prepared to compete in various track and field events including high jump, hurdles and long jump among other.

“Ignus delivered an outstanding performance throughout the day, securing the overall athletics victory with impressive results across multiple events. Meanwhile, Ventus was awarded the Spirit Cup demonstrating exceptional enthusiasm and unwavering support for their teammates. The school rhino mascot was also part of the excitement, adding to the vibrant energy of the day,” said Amoryn.
She added the event highlighted not only athletic talent but also the strong sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship among learners. Parents and supporters played a key role in encouraging participants, making it a memorable occasion for all involved.
