For Madiba on his birthday

Jaco Diederiks from Krugersdorp writes:

In light of Mandela Day I wrote the following piece maybe you can use it:

Madiba Through the many years he was oppressed. Never once did he become depressed. He lived the life of a man that’s free, which is why he is such an inspiration to me.

He was both persecuted and secluded. The leaders of the time seemed deluded. They locked him in a shrinking cell, for 27 long years of pain and hell. When set free he promised things to you and me; love, forgiveness, kindness in hindsight is what I see.

He was an example to many, he is an inspiration to many. He was always worth more than just one man, he was the one with the reconciliation plan. Despite my knowledge of him being vague, his love for others burns through me like a plague.

He combined the cultures of black and white, for the world to see our amazing sight; the trophy like the burden lifted up high.

Now our dreams can float to the sky. He started the a brand new sensation, he created the rainbow nation.
