MCLM audits Homeshaven utility meters to improve billing

Municipal officials are visiting properties to update customer records and improve billing accuracy — here is what you need to know about verifying audit teams.

Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) has launched water and electricity meter audits in Homeshaven, running through to Friday, October 16.

Audits will run between 08:00 and 16:00 to verify meter details, update customer records, and improve billing accuracy.

Refilwe Mahlangu, assistant manager for media and PR, requested that residents ensure someone is home to grant officials access during audit hours.

“If they cannot get access, the team will leave a note with contact details so you can make an appointment for a time which is convenient to you,” Mahlangu said.

“For your safety, please remember to verify the identities of the audit teams before letting them into your property,” she concluded.
