Customer service – what a laugh

Charmaine Welgemoed from Krugersdorp writes:

Both my husband and I are professionals and extremely customer orientated.

My husband deals directly with customers, staff and a variety of companies on a daily basis, and he knows how vital good service is to succeed in a very competitive world.

I’m in human resources and recruitment and I have learned the most valuable lesson in life … unemployment is not just a word, but a hard and cruel reality. So this became my cornerstone: “No matter what you do in life for a living, be the very best at what you do”.

Unfortunately not everyone will agree or even try to do better. They have no pride in what they do, because some people don’t realise that being employed is a privilege and should be valued. I believe that when I walk into any place, no matter when or for what, I am entitled to good service. And sad but true, customer service and pride have become only words with no meaning.

And we have to tolerate this even though you are paying for that specific service? Not anymore. When I don’t receive the service I expect, I say so. Word of mouth advertises much faster than any ad. At the end of the day, if it was not for customers, who would be paying their salaries?
