Who controls the quality of your life?
Some people may say God, others will think that the devil is controlling their wellbeing.
There is probably a hundred other influences that will affect the quality of your life, your health, your family, opportunities to get an education are just a few realities that will affect the quality of your life.
Some people rely on luck, winning the lotto, being at the right place at the right time.
A book I read recently proposes that we should take responsibility for our lives. Don’t play the blame game, or the victim mentality.
You must choose to take the role of CEO of your life. It is a choice. As I looked around me, I realised the importance of taking charge. It just made so much sense. Then common sense prevailed. Many times in my life, while I was in charge, I made really bad decisions. So if I cannot trust others and my own track record is not great, what do I do?
Maybe it is time to ask God to take my life into his hands – vacate the driver seat, move from the chairman’s seat and allow God to guide me.
PS. The responsibility is still mine to follow as he leads.
