Just let it go

Pastor Gerrit Mes; from the pulpit.

This little article could change your life.

No, I am not being arrogant but I have discovered a truth that is so simple, yet its effects are enormous.

Stop reading between the lines. We spend most of our lives trying to decipher people’s words, what did he mean, why did he say that or wow, that hurts.

The truth is, most people don’t write between the lines, so we should not read between the lines.

Many people speak without thinking or even worse, they speak about things they know nothing about.

Many times in my life I have been deeply wounded by something someone said even though they didn’t intend to hurt me.

Then one day I realised that it was no one else but the devil trying to trip me by putting my focus on things that don’t even exist.

Give everybody the benefit of the doubt instead of doubting their benefit.

Words may hurt but dwelling on things can cause an emotional cancer that you don’t need.

PS. Let it go or it will kill you.
