After a Sunday morning service, a young man approached me with a pressing question.
Studying to be a teacher, he now has lost his love for his chosen profession.
Through disappointments and distractions, he is now asking, “How can I get back what I have lost?”
Without hesitation I shared with him the secret of success. Associate with passionate people. If you mix with people with passion, it rubs off. If you mix with bitter, critical, negative people it will poison your life. Passion is highly contagious.
The second key to success is to get your hands dirty. Serve your fellow man. Get involved in a soup kitchen, adult education or give a generous gift to a struggling person. By getting your hands dirty you will appreciate all you have.
The Bible says it is better to give than to receive.
In my life Jesus has been my role model – passion unlimited as he gave his life for others.
Once when asked about food, he said something I will never forget. “My food is to do the will of him who sent me.”
Passion always will achieve more than perspiration.
What are you passionate about?
