Have you ever been angry with God?
Maybe not, but many people whom I have spoken to have felt disappointment with God.
You prayed and God didn’t respond. The following story is just for you.
A man experienced shipwreck and found himself on a deserted island.
Every day he prayed that God would send a ship to rescue him. Days passed and no rescue took place. The man built a shelter, collected food and wood for his precious fire.
Despite being discouraged he kept praying for a ship to rescue him. One day while he was out collecting food and wood, he noticed smoke coming from the direction of his shelter. As he got to his base he realised that the wind had changed and a spark set his shelter on fire. Angry with God and totally devastated, he fell asleep on the beach.
At first light, as he woke up, he saw a ship anchored close to the island. With great excitement the man shouted, “How did you find me?”
They answered back, “We saw your smoke signal”.
Lesson for today: Life’s greatest setbacks often reveal life’s biggest opportunities.
Trust God.
