Be careful when buying food

Cynthia Louw from Krugersdorp writes:

I and my other half went to a Krugersdorp fast food restaurant to buy some hot wings.

After ordering our meal, we stood near the open door waiting for our order.

Three men came to the door and told Pieter someone was calling him outside. He didn’t go out the door and they tried to come across as playful and making jokes.

The one of the men kept on pulling him to go outside, but Pieter, being a big tall man, was not easy to move. He was very cautious and we realised that something was not right.

He didn’t go outside and another man entered the shop watching Pieter’s pockets and what I had in my hands.

They eventually left after realising it won’t be easy getting Pieter out of the shop, I suppose. They crossed the street and another guy came walking down past. We watched the three men walking towards the guy and talking to him.

The next moment they grabbed the guy around the throat and robbed him of two cellphones and his wallet!

Pieter gave chase as they ran up the road. While running they threw the stolen goods into a blue VW City Golf, which was on standby the whole time and it sped of. They ran around the corner and got into a green Toyota Corolla.

There were no number plates on the vehicle.

We now know for certain that their intention was to rob us outside the shop.

We were shocked! The people working at the restaurant said they knew the suspects and that they are in the area every day, but they didn’t know their names.
