Attacked by the same pit bull

Avril from Krugersdorp writes:

I read in the News dated 30 January about Elizabeth, who was attacked by two pit bulls. I was attacked by the same dog in July 2014.

I was walking past the house with my dogs when the one dog forced itself through an opening in the gate and attacked me. I was bitten on my calf and my hand, and had to go to hospital. I was told that the dogs would be put down as they were dangerous and not socialised. The owner later told me that if the other dog had got out it would have killed me. Thanks to a neighbour who came to my help, the dog let go.

I did not succeed in getting any help from the police or owner. The SPCA said there are no by-laws in Mogale concerning these attacks and therefore there was nothing they could do.

I am badly scarred physically and emotionally.

Two months later two Rottweilers got out of their property and tried to attack me, thank God the public helped again, but no joy from the owner. Are these owners heartless or what?
