I refer to the article on the front page of the News of the 6 March edition; SPCA blames community. I don’t want to compare apples with pears, but, yes, you indeed have a totally different community in Krugersdorp.
For example – PE has a animal welfare charity shop that is highly supported, not just by the frequent shoppers, but also by the frequent donors.
They also advertised every week in the community newspaper to make the public aware of them.
Krugersdorp is filled with businesses, and we cannot plan a charity event that brings in enough money to save these poor helpless animals?
Advertise what you offer to the public, for example dog walks for the school kids and so forth … make the public aware!
I am of the opinion that you have not given it your best shot as yet.
