Need help with stray cats

Anonymous from Krugersdorp writes:

I work in the vicinity of the Krugersdorp private hospital and have become aware of many stray and feral cats in the area.

I started feeding and giving water to these beautiful animals and have seen the population grow over the months.

I first focused on a female who had given birth to her kittens on the roof a house nearby, and started feeding her. Her five kittens also then started to eat with her. The following months the family grew. Now I am feeding about 50 cats. There are two other people who also feed cats at the church and further down Burger Street.

I hereby appeal to all animal lovers in Krugersdorp, as well as veterinary hospitals in the area to assist us in caring and preserving these beautiful animals. They all would need to be sterilised to prevent further breeding.

I approached the Krugersdorp SPCA almost a year ago for their help. I was told I had to hire cages from them, and once I had caught the animals in the cages, I could bring them to the facility.

I would be extremely thankful if we collectively can help these animals in their plight.
