Why no law enforcement on Shannon Road?

Driver at her wits' end from Kenmare writes:

Dear manager and employees of the Krugersdorp Traffic Department.

It is with great sadness that I write this to you. Yes, I do understand that 6am is very early in the morning for anyone to start work but it must be reasonably possible, when a situation warrants this action, that a few traffic department personnel be deployed to Shannon Road in Kenmare for two hours and again when schools come out.

It is absolutely impossible for any driver to be allowed into Shannon Road from any of the side street, ie Willoughby, Ardtully (even though there is a stop sign/ street in Shannon Road) ect, as the existing stop signs/streets along the road are ignored totally by all and sundry.

If you do manage to slip between the advancing cars you are met with a whole slew of hand-signs, unbelievable language and shouts to “keep calm” or “we can drive how and where we like”.

I always was under the impression that traffic laws were made to be adhered to by everyone, but it seems that this belief is old-fashioned and out-dated specifically thought so by mothers with young children in their vehicles who are managing their daily schedule on their cellphones and showing said kids what not to do while driving.

Please, please could we have some traffic management along Shannon Road?
