It’s time for criminals to take note of a few facts they deliberately ignore as they callously and heartlessly rape, steal, rob, hijack, attack and murder innocent people – thinking only of what they can gain, never thinking of the pain and suffering they cause, or putting themselves in the shoes of those they harm and thinking they can/ did get away with it …
Take a look at these facts –
1. There is a God. Deep down you know He exists because He said He built that knowledge into you. You also know right from wrong, for the same reason, but you deliberately burn out/ sear your God-given conscience as you continue to do evil.
2. God knows all you do, even your thoughts and motives, and He sees all you have done.
3. He is absolutely incensed/ enraged at your callous, heartless crimes.
4. He will not forget or overlook even one of your sins/ criminal acts.
5. And He will not leave you unpunished – you will not get away with it.
6. But He does not punish immediately – because He is patient enough to give you time to change.
So, you will one day (soon?) stand before Him (on Judgement day) and every single one of your crimes will be exposed for all to see, and you will be required to give an account to God – and then you will be punished.
In other words – when all the benefit, for example the money or the satisfaction you got from committing that crime, is long gone and forgotten, the punishment for what you did will still be hanging over your head; even now, today, until that final judgement day.
You cannot even begin to imagine how absolutely terrifying it will be to face Almighty God like that, and have everything you did exposed. And afterwards, you will be “swept away in terror … ”
A further warning from the Bible is that God will see to it that what you did to others will happen to you. So, the suffering and harm you caused others will happen to you too!
Now, it is almost certain that you won’t believe a word of what I or the Bible says about this, but it will surely happen, regardless of what you think or feel, because God said so and He will do it!
Your excuse may be that you are poor – but you’re poor because you reject God and all His commandments! Take note – Almighty God Himself is set against you and He will see to it that little or nothing of yours will prosper, or bring you happiness, or prosperity (read Deuteronomy 28), unless you take up His offer of forgiveness through the Lord Jesus Christ. But for that to happen, you must turn from your evil ways and seek Him.
Ask a Bible-believing Christian person, or a Pastor, to help you find forgiveness and a new life through the Lord Jesus Christ.
