I too had an unfortunate incident with cyclists in Kromdraai.
While driving on the road, I approached two cyclists riding next to each other. The cyclist on the right-hand side was taking up half of the lane.
I also hooted, but nothing happened – they just carried on. When I came up next to them (I had to cross the white line, half way into the next lane) I hooted again, and again they just carried on.
As I drove past them, I saw the cyclist on the right made a gesture with his hand as if to say ” f@#k off”.
They do what they want to do, and if you hoot, then you are in the wrong.
Strangely enough, I thought to myself ‘I wonder what sentence I would have received if I had knocked him off his bike?’ Because there were two cyclists, it’s highly likely I would have been assaulted, or if I had carried on driving, I might have been charged with hit and run.
