A suggestion when it comes to borehole water

DB from Rangeview writes:

I just wanted to comment on the article submitted by CS from Noordheuwel about the water restrictions and residents using borehole water to wet their gardens.

They are indeed correct that there are no water restrictions on boreholes but just a suggestion – in the “old days” if you used borehole water you had to have a sign on your gate, wall or fence saying “borehole water”.

My parents, who live in Randburg, use a borehole and have put up a sign to that effect, which has alleviated the issue of people yelling abusive comments or making assumptions. I must admit when I see people watering their gardens at 1pm or 2pm I also get very irate, and of course I would not know if they were using borehole water or not, especially if no sign was visible.

Just a thought.
