Now that everybody has congratulated the newly elected executive mayor of Mogale City and she has announced that she and her Mayoral Committee have a few new plans in mind for turning the city around, improving the financial status of the town council, I certainly hope they will look at the abundance of employees working for the council.
I wonder how many of us are there that duly sign on for “work” every morning and then sit and do nothing. It has become the norm that core functions are being contracted out to private companies while qualified employees like myself are left to do nothing.
I attend one, maybe two meetings a month, sometimes on behalf of my senior while he quickly rushes home in Ruimsig to relax before coming back at 3.30pm just to see if everybody is still at work.
