It has always been my dream to write a book, though I never thought the subject would be religious. Late in August 2017, my debut book (titled God’s servants or money grubbers?) was finally published. This was a dream come true.
There is a general and persistent perception that ours is not a reading generation – and many believe that. Research is always thrown in the mix to prove the above. However, the publication of my book has dispelled that perception.
The community of Mogale City’s support for my book was overwhelming. For the past four weeks, I have been running around like a headless chicken distributing the book across the length and breadth of Mogale City. It was hectic but fulfilling.
I wish to extend my gratitude to the Executive Mayor of Mogale City, Patrick Naga Lipudi, who was the first person to buy my book. I also wish to thank pastors, councillors, business people, colleagues, Mogale City employees, Thembile School (my Alma Mater) and residents for their support. God bless you abundantly!
Lastly, the feedback I have received for the book was constructive and positive. One reader said: “Your book is a revelation, but you have just scratched the surface”.
There are those who are advocating that I write a follow-up book. That was not part of my plan, but I’m thinking about it.
