Krugersdorp a slum town

Disgusted from Krugersdorp writes:

I totally agree with Taxpayer from Protea Ridge’s letter that the Mayor of Krugersdorp, Naga Patrick Lipudi should be more than ashamed of his filthy and disgusting town.

Numerous letters have been written about the CBD which is a revolting dirty slum, but the Mayor is blind and pretends neither to see nor hear these complaints, nor does anyone else at Mogale.

The Mayor has neglected and abandoned his responsibilities, including his priorities to the citizens of Krugersdorp. Instead of visiting various organisations, he should get down to cleaning up the CBD.

Let’s start with the town itself and as described previously, all the street light and traffic light poles have stickers pasted all over them. There is no paint left on these poles, the streets are littered and the paving is broken. Many shops are in a dilapidated state, and should be declared unfit for business.

At the entrance of the Town Hall’s rates office, the seats of the chairs are torn and other furniture is broken. The droppings the birds left on the tiles near the entrance have not been cleaned in days.

Pensioners have complained about the numerous stairs they have to climb to eventually get to the municipal offices to pay rates or do other business.

I am very surprised that no representatives from any political party in Krugersdorp has voiced contempt or done anything about this either, which goes to show they just want the votes and that’s all. They totally neglect raising these urgent issues with Mogale City Council, despite holding meetings in the CBD!

Munsieville and Kagiso are another story of total devastation and destruction. It is a total disgrace that people have to live in such filthy conditions.

I have opted to shop and do business in other towns as this one is absolutely revolting.
