The letter Pensioners’ request for increased rebate ignored which featured in the 30 August edition of the News, has reference.
According to the Revenue Department at Mogale City Local Municipality, all applications for this 45 per cent rebate closed on 30 June 2019.
The applicant must submit a completed application form together with three months’ bank statements. A condition is that the applicant does not earn more than R10 000 per month.
Applicants for the next financial year must apply before 30 June 2020.
