‘We have no say’

Anonymous from Mindalore writes:

Papers litter the place … the road where we live is a real disgrace … paint fumes are sprayed in the air daily.

With cars driving past, I am breathing the air … paint fumes and smells carried by the breeze enter our houses where we have to breathe.

Where are the rights of the people, I say, who live in the houses and yet have no say?

Businesses open where they are not meant to be … it’s a residential area but they have more rights than me.

I sit in my kitchen now drinking my tea … with paint smells around me that I breathe in daily.

Where are the rights of the people, I say … do the people of Mindalore have no say?
