Great experience at police station

Jackie Smith from Rant-en-Dal writes:

I want to share my experience of service excellence I encountered at the Krugersdorp Police Station in March this year.

I accompanied a young lady there on a fact-finding mission – the application process to join the South African Police Service. We were unsure of our destination in the administration building and ended up in a passage where we encountered Captain S Mlambo.

We explained our mission to him and he immediately invited us to his office. Captain Mlambo is the Skills Development Facilitator at the police station. He thoroughly explained the procurement process to the young lady and answered all her questions. Phumeza Ondalathen provided further details and contact numbers pertaining to the next intake of trainees. We left the station with positive expectations for public services in South Africa.

Maybe, instead of complaining about service delivery, we can recognise and acknowledge those people in public services who are doing their jobs with excellence. Thank you, Captain Mlambo and Phumeza for being examples of service excellence!
