[LETTER] Bob debate: Sport centre can’t guarantee the kids not being homeless in the future

"I see a very defensive and catty tone from your letter. Gotta tell me I have an agenda like the ANC. Most people would tell you what to do with that remark."

In response to councillor Trump’s letter with headline Councillor’s response to the Bob debate in the News recently, the following …

Good day Mr Trump

For ‘singling out’ the DA or AfriForum I would have sent in my letter, regardless of whose name was on that article.

I see a very defensive and catty tone from your letter. Gotta tell me I have an agenda like the ANC. Most people would tell you what to do with that remark.

The AfriForum gent had a far better answer without being condescending or insulting. Take notes from him on how to deal with folks. You certainly lack experience.

My point may be like dealing with the symptoms, but in all honesty a sports centre is the same. It can’t guarantee the kids not being homeless in the future. Don’t become a doctor either, okay?

I may be ‘narrow-minded’ towards the homeless issue but at least I’m actually addressing the issue by pointing it out. It will get worse. Ignoring it is not the solution. Mark my words.

Read initial letter here: LETTER: ‘Choosing sports over the homeless means we don’t care’

If this is the way you deal with people who point out problems, I agree with the notion that nappies and politicians need to be changed for the same reason.

Hopefully the DA doesn’t respond to all letters in the same manner you have. It’ll be sure to cost you votes and your reputation.
