Mogale City Local Municipality is in absolute shambles – let me highlight some examples just in my ward …

No water last week (15 to 19 November) due to scheduled maintenance, yet no tankers were arranged. Electricity was off for four hours and no answer as to what the actual problem was. We have had no street lights for two weeks resulting in an armed robbery in our street. Refuse removal service not rendered – striking again like they did in July, yet we paid for full service.

Dead dog not collected for over two weeks – nobody at health department answers and cell numbers given do not exist.

The Mogale switchboard goes unanswered for days, yet you want us to help by reporting problems. The WhatsApp reporting number is not even attended to – last looked at four days ago (at the time of writing on November 22) and you get no response despite logging complaints and problems.

The Robert Broom Drive widening project has been deserted, and is incomplete and just left.

The Mogale City signage smashed and broken four months ago on Robert Broom – still not fixed.

So what are we actually paying for?

Any comment please – oh wait I forgot you don’t ever comment on your incompetence.
