LETTER: To Mayor Gray: ‘All I want is to get my bills emailed to me monthly’

'All I want is to have my bills emailed to me monthly.'

I was very happy to see we have a new mayor and trust that the DA team will be much more responsive than its predecessor.

For the last two years I have not received copies of my monthly water and lights account from Mogale. Every month I go to account enquiries, stand in a queue to get my bills printed and then stand in another queue to pay my account.

At enquiries I complained about not receiving any bills and every month they look at the account and cannot find fault. About four months ago I requested to speak to the person doing the email account process but she refused to come to the front. I then asked the security desk to call her but obviously I am not allowed to speak to her directly, so once again she did not come to the front desk.

After 45 minutes I left and asked to speak to the municipal manager, whom I cannot reach … maybe too important. On the Mogale website, none of the names and numbers I tried worked and I am still frustrated with the poor ANC services.

All I want is to have my bills emailed to me monthly.

Please provide the contact numbers and email addresses where we can ask for help.

The names of the 39 councillors and their contact numbers are on page 8 of the December 10 issue of the News. We trust that they will carry out their duties as promised, and assist the public with their municipal-related issues.
