Do you feel the need for speed?

Tarlton International Raceway will erupt into an event that is not to be missed.

It’s the fourth round of the 2013 SA National Drag Racing season, and Tarlton International Raceway is ready to host an explosive event on Women’s Day.

Get ready for the 2013 Fast Fest, A Motorshow Mania.

The day will see the fourth leg of the 2013 South African National Drag Racing Championship where most of SA’s quickest and fastest vehicles will participate at this premier facility.

With all sorts of additional entertainment, the crowd can prepare themselves to be blown away by Tarlton’s 400km/h J34 Westinghouse Jet Dragster when Nico van Rensburg does his exhibition runs.

Later the day, Nigel Hopkins will take to the sky in his Cirrus Racing Plane.

FMX Riders will entertain everyone with a crazy aerobatic show, the Rockford Fosgate Car Sound Competition will cater for all the car-sound freaks out there along with the Showtime Fanatics Show and Shine.

More than 15 DJs will perform live on stage followed by a Bikini Fashion Show later the day. This is an event not to be missed!

On the drag racing front, a sport where winning and losing is calculated within a thousandth of a second, topping the ladder are the methanol titans of the Top Eliminator category led by Nico van Rensburg (Lethal Weapon T/A Funny car), Dalmain Hattingh (A-Dragster) and Deon Swanepoel (Whiplash A-Dragster). However, also wrangling for a spot on the podium will be Werner Conradie (Addiction A-Funny car). These 6-7 second 300km/h drag beasts are always a good crowd pleaser.

Tickets are on sale at Tarlton’s main gate on the day at a cost of R100 per adult and R40 for children between the ages of six and 12, or buy online at Computicket.

VIP tickets are available at Computicket, which will include access to the VIP lounge area that overlook the sound stage and the drag strip.

Tarlton offers loads of free parking, and take-away food and refreshments will be available from various food outlets at the venue.

The main gate opens at 7am and racing is set to start at around 8am.
