Final round of drags this weekend

Race enthusiasts can prepare themselves for an explosive day of action-packed racing at Tarlton International Raceway on Sunday 27 October. It will kick off with the final round of the 2013 SA National Drag Racing Championship.

Spectators are guaranteed some awesome competition runs amongst some of the fastest drag car competitors in South Africa.

Bringing everything to the fight will be Nico van Rensburg (Adrenalize) to gain maximum championship points lead over the rest of the Senior Eliminator arsenal.

Street Eliminator will have two racing brackets on the day, Super Street with a race bracket of 11 to 14 seconds.

Topping off the day with exhibition runs by Nico van Rensburg and Shaun Watson in the famous Tarlton J34 Westinghouse Jet Dragsters.

Tickets will be available at Tarlton’s main gate on the day at R80 for adults and R40 for children (ages six to 12). Tarlton offers loads of free parking and take-away food and refreshments will be available at the venue. The gates open at 7am and racing is set to start at around 8am. Should the event rain out, it will be rescheduled for Sunday 3 November.
