The West Rand Touch Rugby League is known as the place to be for touchies enthusiasts, and this year’s event promises not to disappoint.
The leagues’ ten weeks’ of pure touch rugby excitement and action kick off on Wednesday 5 February and Krugersdorp teams in particular are challenged to showcase their talent.
The league is said to be the perfect place for those who made a new year’s resolution to get fit.
“It’s the ideal place for those interested in cardiovascular, non-contact and injury-free fun and exercise,” says the league’s Kobus Kruger.
West Rand touch rugby is played every Wednesday evening from 6.30pm in Krugersdorp (Rant-en-Dal) at the Sterkfontein Heritage Lodge.
Individual players, friends, school teams, corporate companies and lady teams in the West Rand area are encouraged to enter their teams into the league to avoid disappointment.
