Discus and shot put training camp this week
This training camp is the ideal opportunity to get into shape for the 2015 season.
Pierre Blignaut, one of South Africa’s top shot put and discus coaches, will be hosting his annual training camp for athletes, parents and coaches on 11 December and 12 December at Hoërskool Monument.
Athletes from beginner (10 years of age) to advanced level, as well as coaches and parents are welcome to attend the camp. Pierre will be assisted by some of his top South African junior and senior athletes who will assist in demonstrations and other coaching aspects.
During the camp, advanced athletes’ techniques will be evaluated. Athletes, parents and coaches will be introduced to the latest techniques being used in the sport.
This training camp is the ideal opportunity to get into shape for the 2015 season. Coaches are encouraged to bring all their athletes to the camp to work on their goals for the 2015 season, while parents are encouraged to attend to assist their children in the absence of coaches.
Registration fees are R350 per athlete and R250 per parent or coach. Coaches that register eight or more athletes receive a free copy of Pierre’s Shotput & Discus drills DVD.
On 11 December the camp kicks off at noon until 5pm and on 12 December at 8am until 5pm.
