Night time golf made easy

Krugersdorp residents spot glowing dots flying in the air near a local golf course.

Mysterious glowing dots have been noticed near the Krugersdorp Golf Course.

The news decided to investigate.

After paying a visit to the golf course on 10 February, the news discovered it was in fact glow-in-the-dark golf balls.

Jan Nel and his partners are preparing for the Night Golf Challenge that will take place on 20 February.

Glow-in-the-dark golf balls are activated when bounced on a hard surface, and make a round of golf in the night one to remember.

Once the glowing ball is hit, it is easy to spot it in the air.

Each tee-off point is marked with glowing beacons to indicate a new hole.

Bright blue, green, red, pink and orange neon lights light up the golf course as players play in the dark.

The green is marked with a bright white stick and flag where the hole is.

They aim to host four of these glowing golfing events a year so golfers in the area can test their skills.
