Football now forms part of Khosa

A football team will be taking part in the season this year.

To the excitement of many football devotees, the Khosa Sports Club can proudly announce that football has been added as a sports item to the club.

Dubbed the Khosa Football Club, which was founded by Jared Shaw in February, the club’s team is also the first football team to ever play out of the Khosa Sports Club.

It is also the first ever registered football side to participate in a league out of Krugersdorp.

Shaw said the idea to start a football club would not have been possible if it was not for the support they received from Keith Dauncey (Khosa’s Chairperson) and all the committee members who approved of his proposal.

“Khosa Football Club has closed its registration for the time being since they have only one squad currently registered in a competitive league.”

Shaw said due to a huge amount of interest they hope to see the club grow even bigger which could bring more teams to enter the next season.

“We just want to thank CU Engineering for providing the goal posts and nets and to Bovhu Print who provided the kits.”

He said they are looking forward to their first season, which kicks off on 11 April. The first home game will be taking place on 18 April at the Khosa Sports Club at 3.30pm against the Roodekrans Football Club.
