Get your tekkies and energy ready and join the Noordheuwel Country Club for their Ringball Social Season.

The Noordheuwel Country Club’s Ringball season is in full swing and an exciting open Social Season tournament starts on 11 February.

The Social Season gives new, interested and even amateur players the opportunity to learn how to play ringball.

There are four divisions in the league – a male and female team in both the junior and senior teams.

The junior teams will be made up of players between the ages of 11 and 17, while the senior team is open for 19 year and older.

In the Social Season newbies will have the opportunity to learn the basic rules and regulations of the fast ball game.

The game works on the same principles as netball. The court also is divided into three sections but the players are required to stay in their designated section.

All that is needed for this sport is a good pair of tekkies.

There are no costs involved in the Social Season. I only will require your time and energy for the sport.

“This sport is not just physical, it is a family sport in which all ages can participate,” said Ivan van der Merwe, Noordheuwel Ringball Club chairperson.

The club practices twice a week – on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
