Night race kicks off in the rain

The annual Road Race started off in the rain, but ended safely.

The annual Khosa Road Runners Race Day on 3 February once again kicked off with hundreds of runners lining up.

The 15km race followed the same course as the 5km fun run. Social runners and professional runners alike partook in the event. With a R30 registration fee, runners were awarded with a medallion if they finished the 5km race in under three hours.

The race started in front of the Khosa Sports Club on Shannon Road and trailed along Waterford Road, all the way down Contour Street.

At the 3km mark, candles lit the way to the water and Coca-Cola table before runners turned into Shannon Road again.
